Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Karlsøy Buss AS (“we,” “us,” “our”). By using our website and booking our tours, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Bookings and Payments
Booking Platform: Bookings are processed through SimplyBook.me. Once a booking is made, you will receive a confirmation email with tour details.
Payment Processing: Payments are securely processed through Stripe. By completing the booking, you authorize Stripe to process payments on our behalf.
Currency: All prices are listed in Norwegian kroner unless otherwise indicated.
Refunds: Refunds are processed via Stripe, and we are not responsible for any delays caused by third-party payment providers.
Upfront Payment: Full payment is required upon booking.
Prices: All prices mentioned on the website are per person unless stated otherwise. They don’t reflect the total cost of the trip.
2. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Customer Cancellations:
Regular Tours:
Cancellations made 3 days or more before the scheduled tour will receive a full refund.
Cancellations made between 1 and 3 days before the scheduled tour will receive an 80% refund.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled tour are non-refundable.
Private Northern Lights Tours:
Cancellations made 10 days or more before the scheduled tour will receive a full refund.
Cancellations made between 5 and 10 days before the scheduled tour will receive an 80% refund.
Cancellations made within 5 days of the scheduled tour are non-refundable.

Operator Cancellations:
If we cancel a tour due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., safety concerns or bad weather), you will receive a full refund or have the option to reschedule for a different date. However, we aren’t liable for other related expenses, like airfare, accommodations, or equipment.
Capacity-Related Cancellations:
For Regular Tours, if the tour has fewer than 10 participants booked 24 hours before departure, we reserve the right to either:
Offer you a full refund, or
Contact you to reschedule the tour to a different date, typically a very close alternative date, at your discretion.
No-Shows:
Failure to show up for the tour will result in no refund.
3. Tour Policies
Health and Safety: You are responsible for ensuring that you are in good health to participate in the tour. We recommend that all guests obtain travel and health insurance.
Changes to Itineraries: We reserve the right to make changes to the tour itinerary for operational or safety reasons. You will be notified of any significant changes as soon as possible.
All necessary equipment for our tours is included in the quoted price. This might include transportation, guides, and taxes. Flights to Tromso aren’t included in any package. Each tour’s specifics are detailed on its respective webpage.
Unexpected delays can happen, and any additional expenses resulting from delays caused by traffic, weather, accidents, or other unpredictable events are not included in the trip price.
All participants must adhere to local laws, and any use of illegal drugs or breach of Norwegian law is strictly prohibited. Smoking is not permitted inside any of our vehicles.
While we take pride in offering top-quality tours and equipment, and strive to meet your expectations, we cannot influence natural conditions. Therefore, sightings of the Northern Lights or other natural phenomena cannot be guaranteed.
4. Booking Deadlines
Regular Tours: Can be booked at any time before departure.
Private Northern Lights Tours: Can be booked at any tim. But for bookings made later than 2 days prior to departure, please contact us on WhatsApp number +421 940 264 816 to confirm availability.
5. Liability
Tour Participation: Participation in our tours is at your own risk. We are not responsible for personal injuries, accidents, or losses during the tour unless they are caused by our negligence.
We reserve the right to refuse service to any participant who poses a risk to themselves or others.
6. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for any delay, cancellation, or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, or pandemics.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including text, images, and videos, is the intellectual property of Karlsøy Buss AS unless otherwise specified. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use this content without our express written permission.
8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Any disputes arising from these terms or related to our tours will be resolved in the courts of Norway.
9. Amendments
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date at the top.
